Terms of Service
Effective and last updated September 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and SoloJade covering your use of our apps, websites and services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
The short version
- Your content is yours. We only use it to run the app for you.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel where you subscribed.
- Our apps help you plan; they aren’t financial, tax or legal advice.
- Use the apps lawfully and don’t try to break or misuse them.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK) to use the Services, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Give us accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
2. Using our apps
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our apps on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded them from. The apps, their design and their code belong to SoloJade and are protected by law.
3. Your content
You own the content you create in our apps. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only as needed to provide the Services to you — for example, to sync it between your devices and back it up. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it. You can export or delete it at any time. You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- break the law or others’ rights using the Services;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or our systems, without permission;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Services, or get around their limits or security;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the apps, except where the law allows it;
- use bots or automated means to create accounts or access the Services.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
- Plans. Some apps offer a free version and a paid subscription (for example “Pro”). The app shows what’s included and the price before you buy.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and you’re charged at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling. Cancel through the store where you subscribed: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on the web, in the app’s account settings. You keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting an app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials. If a trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds. Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their refund policies, and refund requests go to them. For web purchases, contact us and we’ll follow the law where you live.
- Price changes. We’ll give you notice before a price change applies to your subscription, as the store and the law require.
6. Ads
Free versions of some apps may show ads, as described in our Privacy Policy. We aren’t responsible for advertisers’ products, services or websites.
7. Not financial advice
Some of our apps, such as Adelante, help you organize and forecast your own money using the information you enter. Forecasts are estimates and are only as accurate as that information. The apps don’t provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and you’re responsible for your financial decisions. We don’t connect to or move money in your bank accounts.
8. Third-party services
The Services may rely on or link to third-party services, such as app stores and payment providers, which have their own terms and policies. We aren’t responsible for them.
9. Changes to the Services
We’re always improving our apps, so features may change. If we ever discontinue an app, we’ll give reasonable notice and a way to export your data where possible.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it; where appropriate we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
11. Disclaimers
We work hard to make our apps reliable, but the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, SoloJade won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
13. Apps downloaded from Apple’s App Store
If you downloaded an app from Apple’s App Store, you also agree that:
- these terms are between you and SoloJade, not Apple, and SoloJade (not Apple) is responsible for the app and its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- SoloJade, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection and privacy claims, and any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights;
- you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you’ll comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state where SoloJade is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. If you’re a consumer in the EEA or UK, you keep the protection of your local law and can bring claims in your local courts.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll update the date at the top, and give notice in the app or by email before significant changes take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated terms.
