Bongo help

Bongo is invite-only for now. Open the invite link a friend sent you and create your account. You must be 18 or older.

• iPhone: open Bongo in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
• Android: use Chrome’s menu, then Install app.

It then opens like a regular app.

Tap the link in the email we sent you. You need it to go live and to send gifts. No email? Check spam, or resend it from the confirm-your-email screen.

Tap the + button. You’ll see yourself privately first, with a lighting hint, a microphone meter and the beauty filter, before anyone can watch.

Allow them when your phone asks. If you said no by mistake, allow them again in your phone’s settings for your browser (or for Bongo), then reopen it.

New accounts can go live one day after signing up, unless they joined with an invite link. You also need to confirm your email first.

Your stream shows “Be right back” for up to 5 minutes, so you can come back without ending it.

Discover shows who’s live. Swipe up or down to move between streams, and pick a country to see who’s live there.

New accounts can’t post links for their first three days, and chat a little more slowly. It keeps spam out.

Coins are for sending gifts to streamers. You get them from Get coins in the app. For now the shop is in test mode: checkout uses a pretend card and no real money is charged. Your first pack comes with bonus coins.

Tap the heart during a stream to send hearts. They’re free, and they count toward the stream and the streamer’s profile.

Gifts turn your coins into the streamer’s diamonds. Subscribing to a creator costs coins for 30 days and shows a purple heart badge next to your name.

Me → Notifications lets you hear when someone you follow goes live.

They only work once Bongo is on your home screen (iOS 16.4 or later): add it first, open it from there, then turn notifications on.

Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we’ll email you a link. It works for 1 hour.

Me → Edit profile. You can change your username once every 30 days; your old one keeps leading to you for 30 days. Your country can be hidden, and hidden, it isn’t used to find you either.

Sign in to see why. You can appeal once, and a moderator will review it.

Me → Delete account, then enter your password. It permanently deletes your profile, followers, coins and diamonds. Can’t sign in? Ask us by email.

Tap their name, then Report. Reports are private, and a moderator reviews every one against the Community Guidelines (in the app).

Tap their name, then Block, so you no longer see each other. Manage the list under Me → Blocked people.

Streamers, and viewers they make chat moderators, can delete messages, mute people and slow the chat down.
